Scarlet skinned globe shaped with beautifully streaked red and white on the inside. Most commonly grilled or cooked, turnips can also be eaten raw. Grate it into salads or slice it like an apple to eat with dips. The greens can be used raw in salads or sandwiches/wraps, braised, boiled or sautéed. You can also add to soups and casseroles. Combine with black-eyed peas and brown rice for a healthy version of a southern favorite. Turnips are a rich source of minerals and vitamins.
